seiko snd253 chrono flight watch. Very good looking watch, affordable option, horrible crown.
Today we will take a look at three Seiko flightmasters. Instantly recognizable, these watches scream "cockpit" and hold a place in everyone's collection. They all have the rotating slide rule, and add the convenience of a chronograph. One of them even adds an alarm function. Super handy! Come check them out: https://www.longislandwatch.com/search_results_a/258.html?search=flightmaster Thank you for watching.
This is a Seiko 7T32-6N10 slide rule chronograph watch. The movement is the timely classic Seiko 7T32B movement. When received, the rotating bezel spacer was missing, the alarm pusher was jammed in the 'in' position and it did not work. On close inspection of the movement I found it needed a complete service, most probably it had never been serviced at all since manufactured in 1992. Many quartz watches are never serviced, mainly due to service charges. That's fine for lower-end watches, but in my opinion, a well built watch is always worth preserving and servicing. The service included stripping it down to its component parts, a complete clean, lubrication and then re-assembly. The case, bezel and bracelet were refinished to remove many of the period scratches, and the slide rule legend re-blacked. The rotating slide rule bezel was missing its black plastic spacer, so a new one was made and installed. The old Seiko glass was removed and replaced with a new Seiko glass to original specification, including a new glass gasket. All pushers were removed, including the faulty one, for cleaning and lubrication. The dial and all hands are in mint condition. This is one beautiful Seiko Slide Rule Chronograph brought back to life and will last for many years to come. Actually this model is becoming quite rare and Seiko collectors are grabbing them.
Find the Seiko Flightmaster you want here: http://amzn.to/2mlDtPj Hey, Welcome to the OFD Watch Channel. My name is Aron Dunlap, and I’m nuts about watches. What’s OFD you ask? Well, one of my best friends coined this term. It stands for “Only F@#*ing Dunlap” (sorry kids!!) due to some of the ridiculous things I can come up with, including watch collecting. I have loved watches for years, but in the last few years really got into the collecting and studying aspect. I mainly buy Seiko and Orient watches, but I love everything out there!! (Omega, Oris, Rolex, Squale, Timex, Casio, Steinhart….and on and on and on) Please like and Subscribe, Thank you!! I Love Blu Shark Straps, best NATO straps I have found. Do it yourself battery changing for your watches is not hard to do. It can be fun in fact and will also save you money as well as give you control of when you replace your battery.
